Sea Shuttle’s 45’ catamaran Endeavour offers the best of two worlds:
First, we treat our guests to a calming journey across scenic Salem Sound, which is largely sheltered from the wave energy of the North Atlantic.
Then, for a close look below the waves, we display live animals and plants in our catch-and-release, 250-gallon, onboard saltwater aquarium. "Catch-and-release" means that our divers are permitted to carefully borrow a limited number of exciting living things from the Sound. Then, hours or days later, we gently return our temporary aquarium residents to the natural marine habitats where we found them.
During our 90-minute expeditions across Salem Sound our crew is more than happy to share their knowledge of marine life such as colorful sea stars, strange and beautiful sea jellies, blooming sea anemones and hydroids, entertaining hermit crabs, and feisty lobsters. We encourage hands-on encounters with marine life in a safe, supervised, comfortable setting.
